Sam + Luke were set to elope with a mountaintop view just a few days after I took their pictures. Pictures they had gotten to lift their spirits as they inevitably had to cancel their travel plans to stay safe at home. These two had never done a session together before, but they arrived ready to turn up the cute factor and just be in love.
I remember planning my wedding vividly. The vendors, the venue, the dress…as stressful as it got at times, nothing compared to planning one of the biggest events of my life. Thinking back on it now I try to put myself into the shoes of the couples who are having to navigate around this intense road block.
Reschedule? Scale things down? Cancel?
So many heavy questions to ask yourselves, even after deposits have been made, engagement pictures done, save the dates sent. While answers may vary as much as the final decisions, there is one underlying factor that is what will keep things even keeled when everything else seems out of control.
You’re in it together.
I’ve had so many meaningful conversations with my own couples and the theme is unified and beautiful, to be wed no matter the date, no matter how intimate their day now looks, no matter what this unique time brings. They just want to be together, forever.
That’s exactly what Sam + Luke did. They were married, within a week, at a courthouse. I’m certain it was perfect.
We had a little extra fun capturing a sweet film with rooftop vibes.
If you desire to connect not only with each other but with me as your photographer so we can create and capture these amazing moments then take the leap and let’s work together.
“Maggie is so down to earth & makes you feel beyond comfortable for your photos! Highly recommend and will continue to see her for all our family photos.”
